“I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the outstanding Customer Service received during my recent stay. I checked in on June 13 and checked out on June 18. At the time of check-in, I had the pleasure of meeting Catherine Phua. She was absolutely wonderful in terms of making me feel as a welcome guest. I also asked for a coca-cola which Catherine served. Due to my hectic schedule, I found it difficult to get time to visit the Club Lounge throughout my stay. However, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Catherine on the couple of occasions that I was able to, where she used my name and offered me a coca-cola. I spend 90% of my work life traveling and have returned to many of the hotel lounges time and time again without being greeted by my name, and even far less that would remember my preferred drink.
I work in a service business, and know that we would be proud of the type of Customer Service that Catherine so routinely displays. It would be wonderful to think of an entire staff that would demonstrate such pride in their work, but those that do are simply too hard to find. Please express my appreciation to Catherine for all that she does.”

“Good day to you.
I'm writing in with much pleasure and satisfaction from my stay at Carlton Hotel from the 30th May till 31st May 2007. I have always been a regular customer at Wah Lok and Wah Nogee and have previously stayed at Carlton Hotel sometime last year for a "get-away", and this year, i'd decided to go back to Carlton Hotel to celebrate my birthday and it have been a wonderful experience. The check-in was hassel free, my requests from the reservation form have all been taken note of which was impressive enough as i'd lots of experiences whereby front-desk staff have overlooked some of the details i'd requested for. The room was cosy and well furnished, the sheets were neatly tucked and even the pillows were very comfortable.

Hospitality was superb~ Every staff i'd encountered with be it the pool bar attendant or staff and managers from Wah Lok were friendly, warm and helpful. Namely, Gary Koo (not sure of his surname) from the front-desk have left me a very unforgetable impression. My first encounter with him was at Wah Nogee where he was stationed at, he is very friendly and professional and have always gone an extra mile to serve his customers. I was quite surprised to see him at the front-desk as i've heard from his co-workers that he got transferred to the club lounge.

What really impressed me was when I was about to do my check-out at the front desk when i asked him if i could just finish the show that was screening half-way on your "scheduled tv", because i had already requested for a late check-out till 2pm, it was rather embarrassing for me to further extend my check-out hours but because i was half-way watching the movie, i was rather reluctant to just leave. Gary upon knowing my "situation", kindly told me that he can only extend my check-out till 3pm the maximum. I was really happy and impressed as my past encounters with other hotels would likely be a straight "No" and i would respect that.

This gesture may mean nothing to a lot of people, but to me, it had shown great spirit of hospitality and professionalisim. I am truly very impressed with the entire hotel and how all the staff were trained and taught. Garry could have saved himself the trouble of checking if the extension of the extra hour was possible and give me a straight no, but he checked and did what he could for me.

Once again, i am very glad that i'd came to Carlton Hotel and I will surely come back again be it for food or get-aways. Please convey the compliments to Garry and Please, do keep up the good work.
